Three Sisters Tickets

Vaudeville Theatre

After a critically acclaimed West End Season at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2018, the Maly Drama Theatre of St. Petersburg return to London with a production of Chekhov’s play Three Sisters. The play runs from June 19th – 29th.

Following their acclaimed productions of Uncle Vanya and Life & Fate at the Theatre Royal Haymarket last year, the Maly Drama Theatre of St. Petersburg return to the West End with a retelling of Chekhov’s famous play Three Sisters.

Written in 1900, Chekhov’s tragicomic play tells the story of the three Prozorov sisters as they struggle with their disillusioned lives in provincial Russia. Chekhov’s play is a complex insight into passion, longing, resignation, and love. Three Sisters is regarded as one of Chekhov’s finest works, and deemed a classic.

The company’s artistic director, Lev Dodin, directs the production. In 1989, Dodin won a Lawrence Olivier Award for his production of Stars in the Morning Sky, becoming the first international company to do so.
The cast includes Irina Tychinina as Olga, Ksenia Rappoport (until 23 June) and Elizaveta Bovarskava (from 25 June) as Masha, and Ekaterina Tarasova as Irina.

Three Sisters plays at the Vaudeville Theatre, London, from the 19th-29th June.
