Adam Kay - This Is Going To Hurt Tickets
Adam Kay returns to the Garrick with his important show This Is Going to Hurt (Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor).
The show was a sell-out success at several Edinburgh Fringe Festivals (2016, 2017 and 2018) and the show continued on a UK tour which saw its popularity steadily soar. Now it is back at the West End's Garrick Theatre for a strictly limited season from 18 February 2019.
An award-winning comedian and writer, Kay is partially responsible for TV programmes like Mrs Brown's Boys, Blind Date, Mitchell & Webb and Bounty Hunters. On the reverse side of the camera, you might recognise him from appearances in 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Newsnight and more besides. He has also contributed columns to The Sunday Times, The Observer and other publications.
This Is Going to Hurt is complemented by a physical book of the same name: a Sunday Times bestseller penned by Kay himself. It has garnered several awards and is even being adapted into an eight-part series for the BBC. Audience members can purchase their own copies after the show.
Dubbed ‘hilarious and heartbreaking’ by Charlie Brooker, Adam Kay: This Is Going to Hurt is a unique peek into the unbelievable life of an NHS junior doctor. Enjoy its Spoof songs, skilful wordplay and first-hand observations when it runs at the Garrick from 18 February to 19 March 2019.
