Former doctor Adam Kay returns to the West End to share stories about life on the NHS frontline in This Is Going To Hurt. Inspired by Kay’s own diaries, the show will open at the Garrick Theatre.

This Is Going To Hurt is an award-winning stand-up, music and confessional show from Kay, who previously trained as a junior doctor. Audiences can expect a night packed full of candid, forthright and funny anecdotes which are sometimes shocking but always full of warmth and admiration for healthcare workers.

The show is based on Kay’s Sunday Times best-selling book of the same name, which is soon to be adapted for the BBC starring Ben Whishaw. Over 200, 000 people have seen the show across the UK on tour and in the West End.

Featuring candid tales which will make you laugh and cry, This is Going to Hurt tickets offer audiences the chance to celebrate NHS workers and the invaluable service they provide. It opens for a strictly limited season at the Garrick Theatre from 12 August.
