Following three sold-out seasons in Melbourne Britney Spears: The Cabaret arrives in the West End this September. Part cabaret, part hilarious cry for help this strangely touching satire comes to The Other Palace for a limited run this autumn.
The riotously funny production features star of the Australian stage and screen, Christie Whelan Browne, who reprises her critically-acclaimed role from the original festival smash hit show, which premiered at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival.
The show melds comical memoirs, side-splitting storytelling and a host of stunningly performed songs, all combining into a hilarious and moving tale that explores the real perils of fame.
Acclaimed singer and actress Christie Whelan Browne across the continent with roles in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Producers, Xanadu as well as playing opposite Geoffrey Rush in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, The Importance Of Being Earnest and The Drowsy Chaperone.
Britney Spears: The Cabaret is the brainchild of the award-winning writer/director Dean Bryant, with music by the accomplished Mathew Frank. Bryant and Frank have co-written several award-winning musicals, and have worked extensively together as director and musical director on projects including Next To Normal at Melbourne Theatre Company and The Pirates of Penzance at The Production Company
This hilarious and unique show plays a limited run at The Other Palace from the 5th to 9th September 2017.
