David Baddiel: My Family - Not the Sitcom Tickets

The acclaimed comedy show My Family – Not the Sitcom by David Baddiel transferred to London’s Vaudeville Theatre from 12th September 2016, after it was met with great success throughout its first outing at the Menier Chocolate Factory during the summer 2016, having both audiences and critics delighted.
The new show by David Baddiel, My Family – Not the Sitcom moved to the Vaudeville Theatre in the West End of London from 12th September 2016, after it received huge praise from both critics and fans during its initial run at the Menier Chocolate Factory in the summer of 2016.
This massively popular show from the much loved British comedian, ran for a strictly limited extra series of additional performances, following the completely sold out run earlier this year.
Baddiel’s show was a ridiculously disrespectful yet beautifully touching account of the comedian’s deceased mother, Sarah, and also his father, Colin, who is greatly afflicted with dementia. It was a stand up performance about growing old, infidelity, memory, moral policing on social media, dysfunctional relatives, and gay cats. The comedian welcomed you to come and take offence on his behalf.
During the initial run of My Family – Not The Sitcom the show received amazing reviews from both critics and fans, including many four and five star reviews from popular critics such as Steve Bennett from Chortle and John Nathan from Metro. The show has also been greatly praised by Baddiel’s fellow comedians, including David Mitchell calling it “Intriguing, insightful and very funny” and Rob Brydon calling it “Belly laughing, thought provoking and shocking”.
Baddiel’s show My Family – Not The Sitcom re-opened at the Vaudeville Theatre comes swiftly after the huge success of his previous West End show, Fame – Not the Musical, which had Baddiel taking a look at the nature of celebrity and his own relationship with fame.
David Baddiel is amongst the country’s most lauded comedy acts, having first made his name in the 1990s in his comedy duo with Rob Newman, through which the pair produced notable work such as The Mary Whitehouse Experience along with being the first stand ups to sell out the Wembley Arena for a show. Baddiel then went on to a subsequent comedy partnership with Frank Skinner, which saw the pair going on many tours, working on the official World Cup songs and making popular TV shows such as Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned.
Recently David Baddiel had established his name as a solo act, with Fame – Not the Musical and My Family – Not the Sticom being the comedian’s first live shows for over 10 years. Baddiel has also seen great success as a screen writer and a children’s book writer.
