About the show

The Times summed it up perfectly as, "magic's Cirque du Soleil"; now The Illusionists makes its glorious return to London with a strictly limited summer run at Shaftesbury Theatre. Witness five of the planet’s most talented illusionists as they perform head-spinning feats of magic. It’s not hard to see how the show has smashed box office records on tour across the world; The Illusionists’ epic tricks must be seen to be believed. A treat for the whole family, the show lands in London from 6 July 2019.

Hailing from Australia, the first iteration of the show premiered at the Sydney Opera House and was produced by Simon Painter with Tim Lawson. Since then, a magical line-up of performers have contributed to the show, from escapologists, manipulators and daredevils to weapons masters and warriors. It has played in more than 350 cities in 30 different countries. Not simply confined to the stage, they have also appeared on television shows like America’s Got Talent, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and an NBC hour-long TV special.

The cast for the Shaftesbury Theatre comprises a dazzling line-up of talent. Audiences meet The Showman James More, The Futurist Adam Trent, The Unforgettable Enzo, The Manipulator Yu Ho-Jin, The Mentalist Chris Cox, The Daredevil Jonathan Goodwin and The Trickster Paul Dabek.

Prepare to be dazzled, mind-boggled and delighted when The Illusionists return to London this summer. Step into their world of magic from 6 July to 1 September 2019.
