Transporting generations of families into a suitably wintery world, the production is a theatrical spectacular that simply should not be missed! Based on Raymond Briggs’ beloved book and film, The Snowman is the story of an unlikely friendship between a young boy and a magical snowman.
One very snowy morning, the little boy creates a companion, but later is reluctant to leave his friend behind at night. But when he peeps out of the window, discovers that his snowman is alive, and he is overjoyed! As the two become friends, they embark on a dazzling journey to the North Pole, where they meet more snowmen, dancing penguins, reindeer and, of course, Father Christmas.
But all the while, the boy and his snowman friend must work together to escape the clutches of the evil Jack Frost! A sensational production that has been delighting audiences year after year, The Snowman is the epitome of all things Christmas.
The Snowman is directed by Bill Alexander and features the memorable music and lyrics from legendary composer Howard Blake, including the iconic song “Walking in the Air”. Further creatives include designer Ruari Murchison, lighting designer Tim Mitchell and choreographer Robert North.
A true treat for all the senses, The Snowman plays a limited season at the Peacock Theatre. The production plays at the London venue from 22 November 2018 to 6 January 2019.
