Soar into a classic festive adventure as The Snowman returns to the Peacock Theatre this winter. This spectacular show is sure to melt the hearts of everyone who sees it, thanks to its warm and whimsical story that’s perfect for all ages.

One frosty night, a little boy looks out of his window and discovers that the snowman he had built the day before has come to life. As he rushes outside and takes the snowman’s hand, the pair are pulled along on a dazzling adventure over a wintry wonderland.

Told mainly through dance and music including the iconic “Walking in the Air”, The Snowman and its pyjama-clad young protagonist has become an enduring icon of the festive season since it was first staged 23 years ago – and has introduced countless children to the magic of theatre.

Inspired by Raymond Briggs' beloved children’s book and Dianne Jackson’s animated film, the show is directed by former Birmingham Repertory Theatre Artistic Director Bill Alexander, with music and lyrics by Howard Blake, choreography by Robert North and set design by Ruari Murchison.

The Snowman is a delightful spectacle of music and dance that’s sure to lift your spirits. It opens at the Peacock Theatre on 21 November 2020.
