The Tiger Who Came To Tea Tickets

Theatre Royal Haymarket

Judith Kerr’s beloved children’s tale The Tiger Who Came to Tea lands back on the West End this Christmas. Bringing a delightfully absurd tale to the Theatre Royal Haymarket, this heart-warming show opens in December 2019.

Families searching for a festive treat this Christmas should look no further than the West End, as beloved children’s book The Tiger Who Came to Tea prowls back into theatres. Featuring a rather large tea-time guest and plenty of mayhem, this boisterous show is set to land at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from December.

Sophie and her mummy are getting the plates and cups out for tea, when there’s a knock at the door. Who could it be? They’re definitely not expecting a large, orange, stripy tiger waiting in the porch! As the trio sit down for food and fun, expect plenty of mayhem, sing-a-longs and engaging fun for children in this high-spirited adventure.

Based on Judith Kerr’s beloved picture book, The Tiger Who Came to Tea was previously nominated for an Olivier Award. The team bringing it to life on stage is full of children’s theatre stars, including director and adaptor David Wood (The Witches; Babe the Sheep Pig), assistant director and choreographer Emma Clayton (Aliens Love Underpants) and designer Susie Calcutt.

Snuggle down into your seats and get ready to welcome a very peculiar visitor: The Tiger Who Came to Tea at the Theatre Royal Haymarket is a perfect slice of escapism, beginning on 9 December 2019.
