Seize the day with Disney's hit musical

Big news for Disney fans: feel-good Broadway musical Newsies makes its long-awaited London debut in an exciting immersive production at Wembley Park Theatre.

Newsies is the story of Jack Kelly, the leader of a rag-tag group of young “newsies”, or newspaper vendors, in turn-of-the-century New York City. When two publishing giants raise prices and threaten their livelihood, Jack and his companions rally together to strike and fight for change.

Full of upbeat, rousing songs including “Seize the Day” and “Carrying the Banner”, the musical has become a firm cult favourite since its Broadway premiere in 2012, where it earned eight Tony Award nominations. It is adapted from the film of the same name, with a book by Harvey Fierstein (Kinky Boots), music by Disney legend Alan Menken, and lyrics by Jack Feldman.

Newsies enters its London home at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, with choreographer and director Matt Cole reimagining the show in an immersive in-the-round production. Get ready to be thrown right into the middle of the action as the newsies dance, sing and protest on the streets of New York!
