The Charing Cross Theatre is located underneath Charing Cross station, close to Embankment, the Playhouse Theatre, and attractions including the National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery. Central London tourist hubs Leicester Square and Covent Garden are both approximately 10 minutes away from the theatre. Charing Cross Station is located above the theatre. To access the venue, exit the front of the station, turn right and walk onto the pedestrianized Villiers Street. Walk downhill towards the river, and approximately halfway down Villiers Street, turn right into Craven Passage, which is signed as “The Arches Shopping”. The theatre’s entrance is on the left, partway down. This walk takes less than 5 minutes.Tube
Charing Cross tube station is next to the theatre and is served by the Northern and Bakerloo lines. From the underground, exit into the train station. Leave via the main entrance of the station, turn right, then right again into Villiers Street. Walk downhill, then turn right into Craven Passage. The Charing Cross Theatre is on the right, underneath the station.Embankment tube station is also a stone’s throw away, which is served by the Northern, Bakerloo and Circle and District lines. Upon leaving the station, walk uphill on Villiers Street, approximately halfway up the hill, turn left into Craven Passage. The theatre is on the left.

There are numerous bus routes that stop on Trafalgar Square, including: 3, 6, 9, 11, 12, 23, 24, 87, 88, 91, 139 and 453. All are within a 10 minute walk of the Charing Cross Theatre.Car
Though the Charing Cross Theatre is not included in the Theatreland Q-Park scheme, the Trafalgar Square and Chinatown car parks are approximately 15 minutes away. Costs are £22 for up to 3 hours, and £29.50 for 4 hours. There are NCP car parks on Brewer Street and Parker Street. Costs vary.London’s Congestion Charge Zone covers the area where the Charing Cross Theatre is located. This incurs a cost of £11.50 between 7am and 6pm. Taxis and other vehicles are permitted to drop off theatre patrons on Villiers Street or Craven Street. Craven Passage is not accessible to cars.
