Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to get discounted London theatre tickets?

Lots of cheap London theatre tickets can be booked online through lotteries and rush tickets which are offered on the day of a performance. However if you want to save money without the pressure of securing same-day tickets, look for sites offering discounts which aren't available at the box office. SeatPlan aggregates offers from three suppliers, who have exclusive relationships with West End shows and venues, to help you find the best deals for popular plays and musicals.

Check our listings above for exciting offers you can book now.

When is the cheapest time to see a West End show?

Off-peak performances, usually on Monday to Thursday during school term times, are a great option for booking cheap theatre tickets in London. At some shows, you can save up to £50 on premium seats during the week compared to the weekend. Previews, which are the performances before a show's official press night, are often cheaper than later performances. Always check the date of a show's press night if it has been confirmed for an easy way to save money.

If you can be flexible with dates, it is always worth checking multiple performances to find the best available price for your chosen seats.

Where should I sit to get the best value theatre tickets?

Premium seats at the theatre are expensive, but if you know where to look you can enjoy a great view for less. Seats just one or two rows behind premium often have near-identical views for a significantly cheaper price, for example. When you are booking, always check user-submitted view from seat photos on SeatPlan to get an idea of which seats are best for your budget.

Restricted view seats that are well-rated by SeatPlan's community of theatregoers are another great option for cheap London theatre tickets. Some restricted view seats are surprisingly good value for money, with pillars and other architectural features barely affecting the view.
