Comedian Mike Birbiglia returns to Broadway with a brand new one-man show about life, death and a chlorinated YMCA swimming pool. The Old Man and the Pool on Broadway follows the show’s sold out runs in Berkeley, Chicago and Los Angeles, where it struck a chord with (and tickled the funny bones of) audiences, whether they were 12 or 112.
It is the latest project from Mike Birbigilia, who is known for contributing to This American Life and The Moth and his award-winning feature directorial debut Sleepwalk with Me, based on a stand-up show of the same name.
