About the show
Based on Charles Dickens’ classic story of redemption, A Christmas Carol on Broadway invites audiences into the hustle and bustle of Victorian England as turkeys are being stuffed and stockings filled. With immersive staging that draws you into the heart of the action, follow tight-fisted businessman Scrooge as he confronts the ghosts of his past, present and future… and learns to embrace the spirit of friendship.

A Christmas Carol is adapted from the novel by Harry Potter and the Cursed Child playwright Jack Thorne and directed by Matilda the Musical’s Matthew Warchus, both old hands at leading magical family shows. Tony Award winner Rob Howell (The Ferryman; Groundhog Day) provides set design, with lighting from Hugh Vanstone (Hillary and Clinton) and musical arrangements from Chris Nightingale (Matilda the Musical).
Featuring a soundtrack of Christmas carols including “Joy to the World” and “Silent Night” alongside storytelling that will thaw even the frostiest hearts, A Christmas Carol at the Lyceum Theatre is the perfect holiday show. It begins previews on November 7 2019, with opening night on November 20.
